University Committee

The University Committee

ensures a safe, fair, inclusive

and fun environment for all.

The AESA has established a University Committee to ensure there is appropriate governance overlooking the integrity and development of university esports.

The University Committee will provide a representative voice for students across Australia, giving them a key role in the development of esports, events (starting with the AEL University Cup) and to discuss ongoing development, regulations and governance.

The University Committee is an initiative to build the framework for governance in the university esports space, empowering students and the university clubs.

Committee Goals

Provide a forum for university esports clubs
Represent the interests of students and voice their rights
Grow participation in esports
Educate and raise awareness
Advise ongoing policy, regulation and governance development
Promote a safe, fair and inclusive esports environment
Foster a sustainable and well-governed esports environment

Committee structure

Each University is represented by their esports club. The committee comprises of one representative from each university elected annually. The representative is responsible for attending committee meetings to discuss the ongoing development of university esports, the AEL University Cup, competition, regulations and any other applicable matters.
